So I now have a 2 1/2 year old, a 13 month old and a 4 week old. I know the next couple years are going to be a challenge especially for me; raising 3 children so young and close together in age. But as with everything else in life I want to do my very best. I want to be the best mother, wife and homemaker that I can be, and this blog is going to be mostly about my struggles and successes along the way.
I have always been told that adding the 3rd child to the mix is the hardest, and I have found this to be very true. It used to be that if one was crying while I took care of the other, I could just pick them up and continue with my current task. Now it seems one is trying to climb on me, one is crying and I am trying to feed the other, I have never wished for a third arm so much in my life. As I am adjusting to the addition of Baby, I also have Bubby (13 months) who is a little fussy from getting some molars in and Princess (2 1/2 years) who is just learning how to sleep in her big girl bed and has learned how to escape her Pj's and diaper whenever she goes to bed.
I am thanking the Lord everyday as I know each of my children is a wonderful blessing and they are all teaching me to be better with every passing day, but there are moments when I feel that it is all too much and I am not sure I will be able to succeed at completing all the things I want to. I then try to remind myself that it is ok if the house isn't spotless every moment of the day, what matters most is that my children feel loved and protected. So I must constantly remind myself to stay patient and loving, because that is what they will remember for the rest of their lives. They will not care if I always kept the sink clean or vacuumed every single day, though I will still try to do those things also. :) Life is a crazy fun journey and heres hoping it's more fun than crazy most days!
