Baby Shea was born on Aug 19th, 2010. He weighed 7lbs 15oz. He is welcomed into our crazy family by his 2 siblings: Princess Shea (2 1/2 years old) and Bubby Shea (13 months old). After thinking I would go into labor many weeks earlier, my Dr. decided on Aug 18th at my check up appointment to send me in to be induced. I was admitted and given a smell drip of pitocin, which I would have never considered with my first pregnancy, but by this third pregnancy I was VERY ready to be done with the entire selection of pregnancy related symptoms! The pitocin by itself was not really moving things along, so after about 6 hours my Dr. broke my water. Things from that point on really started to move! About 2 hours later my husband let me know 'he' was hungry and would like to run through a drive thru up the street. I had the nurse check me before he left and they informed us I was dilated to a 7, so I told him to go quickly. Well things progressed super fast from that point and before hubby even got through the drive thru (about 7 minutes up the street), I was calling him telling him to get his booty back to the hospital. By the time hubby was back in the parking lot the nurse was running around getting things ready for babies grand entrance, and I was feeling very ready to begin pushing. Once everything was set in the room, the nurse checked for my Dr.'s location and was informed she was just finishing up a delivery in the next room, so she advised me to start pushing. After I pushed once she said; 'WAIT, ok ok. Let me call the Dr. Where is the button, has anyone seen the button'. The Dr. arrived in our room and after about 5 pushes Baby Shea was born at 12:10AM, just 10 minutes into his due date.
